Thu, 21 January 2010  The following came in from Mark Easton in Australia this morning. hi blues dogs fistly, i appreciate the support you guys give my music! secondly, if youve ever seen my shows im always happy to get people up for a blow, ive had people like TJ play guitar (he'll be playing with me this sunday at tilba), lilly white play harmonica, ugly graham play harmonica, phil rado play bongos, blue dogs play harmonica, rory cotter play djembe, james southwell play guitar, canadian cath ford do vocals, hugo from the sydney blues society play harmonica etc etc, so if you know what your doing just come and have a bit of fun! i travel around oz on my own and it gets pretty lonely sometimes, i always love jamming with people so dont be a stranger! ok down to business im on tour promoting my new DVD live at the sydney blues festival, recorded at the fitzroy hotel october 2009. 11 foot stomping songs with 2 previously unreleased tracks, Hoochie Coochie Man and Black Betty. You can also here tracks from the DVD on Marks MySpace, see link at top of piece. in the last year Marks latest CD Money is the Root of all Evil reached number 4 on the blues charts in the USA, number 1 on the blues charts in Australia and nominated in 2 categories at the Australian Blues Music Awards - Best New Talent and Best Album "Bandwagon" and also nominated in 3 categories at the Blues Star Awards - Best Australasian Blues Band, Best New Talent and Best Album "Bandwagon". ive had a bugger of a start to the year firstly i tried to kick my drum off stage on NYE and it just wouldnt fall off, so i stood up and gave it an almighty boot and missed the skin and copped my toe on the rim! it frickin killed, black and blue, had to go to hospital and get the nail drilled! on sudnay i kicked it off stage and it rolled along the floor and went down a stairwell and busted my kick pedal today i went for a surf at newcastle and got hammered by a huge wave, which drove me down so hard my board slipped out of my hands and forced the board up with the fin just grazing my forhead, any closer and i could have lost an eye! hopefully i will live long enough to finish the tour! heres the gig dates!
